weekend update

This is not a Saturday night live skit, just thought I'd give a quick update...in pictures...of our weekend. I made Micah his very own Turkey hat. Naomi wouldn't sit still long enough for me to get a picture of both of them in their hats... maybe later. Micah has FINALLY started eating his cereal...only three months later! Ugh! He will actually open his mouth now too, okay, maybe it was just a fluke...I'll let you know!
I got a new lens for my camera. It's the 50mm 1.8...I really like it. Although this is not the lens that I REALLY wanted I figured that it would get me through a year or so of shoots and then my clients can buy me a new one :). This is the first photo I took with the new lens! LOVE IT! Greg and I went to our first wedding together since being at Mt. Calvary. It was a beautiful night wedding with all the bells and whistles. We had a great time and really enjoyed getting dressed up and going out sans kids.

This was our gift! Lots of fun to put together and really, I wish I could've kept it!Pastor, Cathy, Jamie, Greg, Bonnie and Jim (our head elder). Thanks for watching the kiddos Jenny...we know how much they love it when you come over! Sunday we did some cleaning, hanging out, and I worked on a wedding album for a client. Greg made pizza dough and we made our own pizzas again (we made them a little too late for Naomi to enjoy but that's okay). Greg also baked some apple bread...can't wait to dig into that. Jordan is here for the night and he and Greg are going to fix our ceiling tomorrow! YEAH! That's about it! Oh and we captured the BEST video after dinner tonight... hopefully I'll remember to get it off the camera tomorrow and onto the blog for your viewing pleasure!

I was taking some photos of Micah after dinner ...
Then Naomi said, "I wanna smile too", and this is what I got.
Then she actually did smile...or, she showed me her happy face!HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOUG!!! Sorry that we're so lame and forgot to call you... we hope your day was awesome! Don't forget your golf shirt was your gift from us!

Great idea for the wedding gift! I am putting together a little "date night" gift bag as Christmas gifts for a couple of friends. It's going to include a bottle of wine, bag of popcorn, box of M&Ms, and a gift certificate/card to a video store.
