Last night we met Pastor Schroeder and three people from DSLC for dinner. (Greg was the youth director at DSLC right after we got married until we moved to St. Louis.) They are in St. Louis for Stephen's Ministry training. We had a great dinner and it was just nice for them to call us and ask us to join them. I put Naomi in one of her many dresses because she won't be able to wear them for very long. It was already short on her...but still cute. She sat in the highchair the whole time and just made everyone so happy! She tried to eat her cheerios straight off the table without picking them up...it seemed to work better for her, and really made me laugh. A few people came over just to talk to her, I never realized how many people will go out of their way to come and talk to a little baby (in the grocery store, at resturants, at the mall) . This one lady kept going on and on about how cute Naomi was...and we were just trying to finish our dinner. She said that Naomi made her day though so I guess it's okay. Then we were about to go to their hotel room and this older gentleman came up to her and started talking to her....Naomi started playing bashful and got the guys attention even more. I guess that's the thing to do. I don't normally go up to a cute baby and say hello but maybe I should.
She didn't actually wear the shoes...they're too big and she kept kicking them off. Someday.
