took the plunge

So after a week of trying to find a time to go get my haircut, I finally found the time yesterday afternoon. I went in with a coupon...because I can't stand to pay too much for my haircuts...and was all ready to get it cut around my shoulders. I told the lady this and she said, "if you go a little shorter you can donate it to Locks of Love." I was very excited about this. That was my original intention with growing my hair out but I was just getting so sick of it being so long... and Naomi was getting a good grip on my hair. The lady also told me that if I do that my haircut would be free. So there was an extra bonus. So she put a rubber band around my hair and cut it off. I've always wanted to be able to do that with my hair...weird I know...but I have never had hair long enough before. It was weird to see my hair laying on her counter all nice and neat in a rubber band. So my haircut was free but I let her blowdry my hair and that cost me $2. Oh well, $2 to have my hair dry...no biggie! So, there you have it, I now have short hair again...I can still get most of it back in a ponytail. I think I'll start growing it out again so I can donate it again next time! We'll see how long that will take.

Your hair looks so cute. I think it is in the unwritten rules of motherhood that sometime soon after you become a mother, you get to get a new haircut. Have a great week.

I've been thinking about doing Locks of Love, too. But I don't want to loose that extra little bit of warmth on my neck until winter's over! Where did you get yours done? I'd love to take advantage of a cute, free haircut like yours! :-) Looks good...

Jamie, now we just need to get mom (Naomi & Emily too) to grow her hair long then all the girls in the family would have donated their hair to locks-of-love. Isn't it a great feeling to know you have helped someone out and you did not have to do anything abnormal. :)
