extended stay

So I FINALLY got my camera back last Thursday. It had an extended stay at the Canon factory. I called them at the end of February and they said they were waiting for a part and it should be mailed within a week. I called them at the end of March and they said they had no idea how long it would take. I called them two weeks ago and they said they would call me next Tuesday and let me know how long it would be. I told them, I'm a photographer and you've had my camera for three months and I need it back. So then instead of calling on Tuesday or Wednesday they mailed it. Maybe it finally made it back to the top of the "work on this" pile. I guess I motivated them to get that part in my camera and get it back to me. Because of my missing camera I had to shoot engagement pictures with my old camera, and I lost a job of shooting baby pics for a girl at work. She went to Wal-Mart because she didn't want to wait any longer. Bummer. I think Canon should compensate me for that. What do you think?
