friendship bible study

I don't think I've ever told you about what Greg and I get to do on Monday nights. Well, since Greg is the Vicar he gets to take part in lots of different things. He was sort of told by the leader of Friendship Bible study that the Vicar always helps out. So he said he would help out and bring me along. What I did not know when I told him I'd help is that I would get to see some of the campers I had worked with when I went to Handy Camp with the youth from Peace. I didn't know that they were part of this Friendship Bible Study. So we go every Monday night and help with the lesson and spend some time with our friends. So I wanted to introduce them to you here and tell you some of their funny stories.
This is Janie. She was my camper at Handy Camp a couple of summers ago. She is great at Bible Study. Every Monday night we sing her favorite song, "I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart..." Her favorite verse is "and if the devil doesn't like it he can sit on a tack, ouch". She laughs her way through the verse and just makes us all smile. She knows her Bible characters, she remembers the songs and sings along. This past Monday Greg was talking about how we can show Jesus' love to our neighbors and she said in good Janie fashion, "we can shake their hands." She's such a sweetie! It's great to see her every week.
This is Tina. Tina just got healthy after having bronchitus and some other health issues but she's good now. Tina is very quiet. She is shy and doesn't usually just come out and say stuff. But when she has something to say you better listen because it means a lot to her to be able to share it with you. I've enjoyed getting to know Tina and she has a big heart!

This is Pam. Pam is a riot. She has a smile that will light up any room and a laugh that is contagious. This past Monday, Greg was trying to review who and what we talked about the week before and he said, "who are we going to talk about tonight?" and Pam replied with, "Santa Claus is coming to town." When she gets something in her head she'll repeat it over and over till someone tells her to be quiet and listen. She knows her songs and is a sweetie!
This is Gina. Gina is amazing. When you first meet her you may think that she doesn't follow things and doesn't know what's going on but that couldn't be further from the truth. We have a greeting song that has a part for the friend to sing and Gina will sing her part and often times she'll sing it for other people too. Gina's most quotable phrases are "somebody broke my radio" and "hey there buddy bud." She loves to sing "You are my Sunshine" and is a great lady!

So there are four of the people we get to hang with on Monday nights. I'll save the rest for another time!
